You can complain about the way your tax affairs are handled by contacting the Adjudicator Barbara Mills QC www.adjudicatorsoffice.gov.uk telephone 020 7930 2292. However, the Adjudicator cannot always help or uphold complaints and cannot intervene in any dispute about the amount of tax payable.

The conduct and performance of Inland Revenue staff is measured against criteria set by the Inland Revenue themselves, without external or independent input.
